This one trumps them all

Completely house broken husband (except for those rare occassions). Understands a few basic commands but is easily persuaded with food and alcohol. Does have a habit of running off but just leave the back door open and he eventually makes his way home. He's handy around the house (as long as he's not hung over). Excellent with kids but doesn't do so well with adults and other dogs. No skills in the bedroom but perhaps your the type that likes to tie people up and smack them around.. I think he'd like that.. He's free to a good home.. hell, any home will do. Sorry- No returns.. Current wife willing to drop him off.

They make lovely coasters...

Here is a blast from the past. When was the last time you saw a floppy?

Guitar Zero

What can I say. This is the perfect toy for a rambunctious kid.
He can go house on the toy without fear of breaking it, and parents get some quiet since it doesn't actually work.

Arcade Fire

I chose this posting today not because it's bizarre, but because I was intrigued and wanted to find out the story behind this... Also because I love the authors creative naming of his neighborhood Camberville (Cambridge/Somerville line).

Back to Arcade Fire

I didn't know that Arcade Fire is an indie/alternative pop band that has some really nice music. They're from Montreal, but you can't hold that over on them. (Me, Mom and Morgantaler were from Montreal too and they rock). They've won several award including a best Alternative Album of the Year award for Neon Bible (The album that is featured in this poster art available for free.... )

I investigated a little further and looked at their web site and FB Page. Here is a little sampling of their music for you listening pleasure.

This is just downright creepy....

Even if it wasn't creepy, there are a couple of comments I'd like to make
Firstly, the photography is just not up to snuff. Both views of the "hair" look like they are different colors. Which one is more true to the actual color of the hair. As someone with slightly reddish/brown hair, I'd like to be able to hold my hair up to the picture to see if there is a match before heading all the way to Medford (or MeddFaaah as we affectionately say ) to take a look at it.
Secondly, It's really hard to know what the scale of this piece is without some sort of object beside it to illustrate scale. Like, perhaps a head or a hand.
Lastly, why do I want to put something on my head that's been on your dusty wood floor?

One man's trash is another man's treasure

Some good samaritan posted a box of 78 records (about 60 of them) that were sitting in the trash as he/she was walking by. They said there were no "classic" or "Guy Lombardis" but at even $1 (or even .50) a pop, that's a lot of scratch that someone is just throwing away. Some people.

I hope they didn't end up in the trash truck and someone got themselves a nice little collection.

Listen here  (not the same artists, and I can't make out the Blue Bird one):

Roosters

Not funny, just bizarre. There are 5 of these. Do you know anyone who likes roosters?
